This was informative well written. I love the friendship between a monkey and a mouse. Also if you want to get the receipt for Ugali you can so to the internet.
This was a fun book to read to my grandchildren while I was visiting with them! I do not live with them anymore so I like to have some fun with them when I visit their home!
I like this story as it allows children in the western world to experience the lives of children in parts of Africa through this story and the vivid illustrations.Â
I love learning about the children in Africa. The book is well written and illustrated–it’s so engaging. I like how it asks questions! I’m really curious about the recipe mentioned… headed to the website to check it out! I recommend this book for children of all ages.
I shared this book with my 4- and 5-year old grandkids, and they loved it! The illustrations are adorable and all the sounds captured their attention. However, neither one thought they actually wanted to try eating Ugali! That reaction made me laugh. This book and the others in the series are a wonderful way to share a different culture with children.
A joy to read, such a lovely little book. It talks directly to children, engaging them in the story and asking them questions. With fabulous illustrations, it makes simple things look very appealing and exciting.
